What this list actually is

  • The oldest thing here has been live for 2.1 years, and it was found by comparing two numbers the platform publishes about our own page. It could have been found on any morning since. Nobody was looking, because looking at Facebook · page is not anybody's job until it is somebody's.
  • All 6 of them were published before the rule that catches them was written. The book is dated and the pages are older than it, so this list is not a list of mistakes — it is the cost of writing a rule down after the fact, counted.
  • Omni changes none of this. Every row says who can, because a listing description and a profile picture are edited in two different places by two different people, and a queue that cannot say which is a queue nobody works.

Everything the book finds out there

The same rules the gate runs, against text and images the channels are serving right now. What a model raised is marked as a model's opinion and cannot stop anything.

“boosts your metabolism” in the description

Our everyday blend: milk chocolate, almond and a little orange peel. Roasted on Dock Road and shipped the week it is roasted. Drink it black or with milk — it boosts your metabolism in the morning and it is gentle enough for every day.

A sentence written into a listing two years ago is still being read today, and it is still ours. The same list the captions are checked against.

Rewrite the sentence around what it tastes of. This one is a regulatory problem wherever it is read.

A single origin espresso built for milk: cocoa, hazelnut and dried fig, medium-dark. Pulls sweet at 18 g in, 36 g out, in about 28 seconds.

If a lot is a blend it is called a blend. Naming a single farm on a blended coffee is the one thing this trade does not forgive.

Facebook page

Facebook · page

the profile picture is 64 px; the mark's floor is 96 px

It was found by measuring a number the platform publishes about its own page, which means it could have been found on any morning in the last two years. Nobody was looking, because looking at your own pages is not anybody’s job until it is somebody’s.

Where the drift sits

Findings per channel. They are counted, not added up across platforms — a marketplace listing and a profile are not the same kind of thing, and neither is the fix.

The marketplaces carry most of it because their listings are the oldest text the shop owns: written once at launch, never opened again, and read by somebody every day since.

Every page the audit walked

Twelve pages this morning, including the ones that came back clean. A page that cannot be read is absent from this table rather than passed.

2 pages came back with nothing on them, and they are listed for the same reason the passes are listed at the gate: a check nobody can see the result of is a check nobody believes.

Listings and profiles are read through the channels' own APIs, the way our own listings are read everywhere else in the platform. A page the audit cannot read is not guessed at: it is absent from this list, and the page says how many were read.
